Who is Julian Sands? Career and movies from A Room With A View to Arachnophobia
British actor Julian Sands has been reported missing while hiking in the San Gabriel mountains in America.
The missing actor is thought to have been somewhere in the popular Baldy Bowl area of the California mountain range when he went missing on Friday.
The 65-year-old was reported missing by his wife Eugenia Citkowitz at 7.30pm when he didn’t return home from a hike.
Rescue teams ‘responded and began a search’ before they were forced to stop over the weekend because of severe weather and an avalanche threat.
In a statement shared with the PA news agency, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s department said: ‘Because of avalanche risks and trail conditions, the ground crews were pulled off the mountain on Saturday evening.
‘However, we continue to search by helicopter and drones when weather permits. We will schedule another ground search when the weather improves, and it is safe for our ground crews.’
