Stranger Things cosmetics returning to Fortnite soon claims leaker
Don’t be too surprised if you see the Stranger Things item set return to Fortnite soon, judging from the latest leaks.
Although there’s no clue when the final season of beloved Netflix show Stranger Things will air, you might soon get to see some of the characters pop up in Fortnite, again.
As the game has cameos from every popular franchise you could possibly imagine, it’s no surprise to find that Stranger Things is also part of the mix.
You’re not to blame if you’ve forgotten about this collab, as the Stranger Things cosmetics haven’t been spotted in the item shop for over 1,000 days (that’s almost three years!).
However, a recent discovery in the game’s files has indicated that these special items might be finally making a comeback.
Rumours started circulating after a well known dataminer spotted that the Stranger Things-inspired weapon wrap named Tendrils had been updated, implying it would return to the item shop soon.

Fans have often complained about Epic Games not releasing themed cosmetics in Fortnite when they are ‘actually relevant’, with some characters being added either a long time before or after they have a new movie or show.
This doesn’t only apply to the alleged return of the Stranger Things pack but also The Walking Dead pack, which was released a month after the show ended.
Kratos’ skin from the God Of War pack is in a similar situation, as it hasn’t reappeared in the item shop since 2021, despite sequel Ragnarök launching in November 2022.
For now, the closest thing to a Stranger Things item that you can find in Fortnite, is the Master Of Puppets emote.
It’s Metallica’s hit song that beloved character Eddie Munson performed on his guitar in the last episode of season 4.
