Demonstrators shut down the San Francisco – Oakland Bay Bridge along side the APEC Summit going down on Thursday (Picture: AP)At least 50 folks have been arrested as Pro-Palestinian protesters shut down the San Francisco – Oakland Bay Bridge calling for a ceasefire within the Israel-Hamas battle.
Protesters lined up and blocked all lanes of westbound Interstate 80 on the bridge throughout rush hour on Thursday morning, in accordance with the California Highway Patrol.
Some protesters tied themselves to one another with chains whereas others staged a ‘die-in’ mendacity on the bottom and protecting themselves with white sheets bearing the phrases, ‘Stop the genocide’.
Cops apprehended protesters using zip ties and put them in buses.
‘We are 100% in assist of individuals’s rights to train their First Amendment, however that is the incorrect approach to do it,’ freeway patrol Chief Ezery Beauchamp informed reporters. ‘This is 100% incorrect, not acceptable, and is unlawful to do.’
