A Gatwick spokeswoman mentioned: ‘London Gatwick’s North Terminal departure lounge was evacuated for a short while this morning as a result of a fireplace alarm being activated.
‘As at all times, security and safety are our primary precedence. We apologise to passengers for any inconvenience.’
