Tyler Baltierra’s journey to therapeutic continues. After his ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, Tyler, 31, has a follow-up name along with his psychotherapist, Dr. Mike Dow, within the September 20 episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter. Dr. Dow asks Tyler to put in writing a letter to his youthful self and return to the trailer he grew up in to learn it.
Tyler follows Dr. Dow’s directions and pens an emotional letter that touches on the childhood sexual abuse he skilled. Catelynn Baltierra joins him on the trailer as Tyler reads the letter. Tyler tells himself that he’s “sorry” for the ache he endured in his youthful years.

“There will come a time in your life when that ache is so excruciating that the one treatment for the insufferable struggling you’re feeling is to die,” a tearful Tyler says. “I’m right here to inform you that you’ll survive for a motive, and that motive has a reputation. It’s Cate.”
Through tears, Tyler continued: “You will meet essentially the most purest instance of affection that you just’ve ever felt or witnessed in your life due to her. She will present you ways you actually are worthy of affection. She’ll show to you why you weren’t presupposed to die that day. You will fall head over heels in love and that love will end result within the different motive you survived, and that’s to be a father, to deliver 4 stunning youngsters into the world, to provide these youngsters the daddy you by no means had, and by giving them that you’ll break so many generational traumas.”
After Tyler’s executed studying the letter, Catelynn, 31, hugs him. Before they go away, Tyler burns the letter he wrote.

Earlier within the episode, Tyler sits down along with his mom, Kim, to speak concerning the sexual abuse he skilled at simply 8 years previous. Kim admits that she thought Tyler was “making up a narrative” when he advised her concerning the sexual abuse.
Kim feels extremely responsible for not believing Tyler on the time. “I simply want I might return in time and simply take all that away from you,” she says to her son. Tyler tells his mom that he doesn’t maintain any sick will towards her. He’s transferring ahead from what occurred. New episodes of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on MTV.
