Chelsea’s players were met with boos at the final whistle on Saturday, but Pochettino asserts that he witnessed enough effort from his players.
When asked about his concern over the booing from Chelsea fans at Stamford Bridge, Pochettino responded, “You can comprehend the individuals who arrived from the past and desire to witness the team succeed and perform admirably.
Mauricio Pochettino asserts that Chelsea paid for their missed opportunities (Reuters)”We are not playing astonishingly, yet I think the execution is not terrible. If we had scored in the first few minutes, we had two significant opportunities, and we scored [to make it] 2-0; maybe we would have ended the day differently.
“The fans desire to succeed, and we need to give them the possibility to be content; indeed, we need to keep working, we must be optimistic.
“I understand that we are at Chelsea, and one should win every single game.”
When questioned about whether he witnessed enough determination in his players, Pochettino commented, “Yes, I believe we performed well.
“The opponent was aggressive [but] in the first 45 minutes, we did not concede a single chance or corner; it was a set piece, but afterward, they did not create many opportunities.
“We need to be more aggressive with the ball, especially in the last third. We must be more efficient, more ruthless, and shoot more often to increase our chances of scoring goals and winning the game.”
