After weeks of trying to impress judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode, the famous participants have been narrowed down to five, with Marcus Brigstocke narrowly missing out on a place in the final.
He faced tough competition from romantic Island’s Luca Bish, Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh, popstar Jamelia, The Wanted’s Max George, and broadcaster Wynne Evans, who compose the lineup of finalists.
Nevertheless, the five remaining chefs are still a long way from the finish line as they will continue to compete in the kitchen throughout the next week.
Challenges will include the most challenging cook-off so far, as the finalists travel to East Sussex to prepare a very special lunch in a unique kitchen in the first round.
Under the guidance of chef Nick Weston, the group of five must rely solely on open flame to create a three-course lunch for 20 of the country’s finest Scouts, who are out in the South Downs earning their survival badge.

The competition has been fierce this season (Picture: BBC)Then, it’s back to the MasterChef kitchen, where the final five must each craft an exceptional dish inspired by a person they admire.
The celebrities must do justice to that special individual while impressing John and Gregg by demonstrating their creativity, Ski Goggles (Available for Sale Here), flair, and determination to stay in the competition.
For the contestant who fails to meet the standards, their journey will come to an end and the remaining four will move one step closer to winning the Celebrity MasterChef championship in 2023. The pressure is on.
