The initial preview for Strictly Come Dancing 2023 has been unveiled, and we couldn’t be more prepared.
This year’s series cast line-up is truly exceptional, with renowned individuals such as Bobby Brazier, Angela Rippon, Layton Williams, and Zara McDermott gracing the dance floor.
And if the preview is any indication, viewers are in for a genuine delight.
The eerie preview commences with Jowita Przystal and Vito Coppola dancing through the nocturnal streets of the urban area, seemingly in solitude before an entire assembly of dancers appears.
As a rendition of Rhythm is A Dancer begins to play, a close-up of the performers executing awe-inspiring moves unveils them as the remaining Strictly professionals.
Giovanni Pernice, Johannes Radebe, Dianne Buswell, and Nancy Xu are among the professionals exemplifying their talents as they gracefully ascend the steps, with the preview culminating in a breathtaking circular staircase featuring the stars.

The metropolis abruptly comes alive as a group of professional Strictly dancers exhibits their skills on the staircase of an exquisite structure (Picture: PA)Although we weren’t provided with a glimpse of our 2023 celebrities or disclosed who they will be paired with, it has us more than eager to delve into the upcoming series.
Strictly star Amy Dowden doesn’t appear in the preview; nonetheless, she recently confirmed that she will be returning to the series in some capacity, albeit in a minor role.
This comes after the confirmation that Strictly professional Amy Dowden will have a role in this year’s series despite her cancer diagnosis (Picture: REX/Shutterstock)The 33-year-old pro dancer revealed earlier this year that she had been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.
Subsequently, she underwent a single mastectomy and is currently receiving chemotherapy after doctors tragically discovered additional tumors, which have also forced her out of Strictly 2023.
However, earlier this week, Amy hinted at a return to the Strictly studios and expressed a desire to participate, whether it be in a complete dance routine, a video clip from home, or even on an episode of the supplementary show It Takes Two.
A BBC spokesperson later confirmed that she ‘wasn’t there to film the launch opener’ but assured that she ‘will be in the series.’
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this month.
