The 73-year-old Hall of Famer, who suffered a significant stroke in February, has not been seen on the screen since the Raw 30th anniversary event in January, but he made a special guest appearance during last night’s broadcast.
During a commercial break, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens spoke to the live audience about their ongoing problems with the Judgment Day.
‘Look, I won’t lie. I was in a pretty lousy mood after getting screwed once again by the Judgment Day, and I walked back here quite upset,’ Sami said in a video that WWE #WWERaw has since shared on social media.
He added: ‘But the moment I walked through that curtain, my mood instantly changed. Because, ladies and gentlemen, after all, we are in Memphis, correct?’
Taking over, Owens said: ‘And there’s someone backstage you guys might be somewhat familiar with, and he lifted our spirits, so we thought we’d spread the joy by bringing him out.

‘Ladies and gentlemen, Jerry “The King” Lawler!’
The packed crowd inside the FedExForum chanted his name and erupted in approval for the local hero as he stepped out onto the stage donning some gray stubble.
Lawler was visibly touched by the response and waved to the crowd as he expressed gratitude to Sami and KO for bringing him out.

Lawler, who has appeared for WWE #WWERaw through the years as a commentator and Kickoff show panelist among other roles, was rushed to the hospital in February after suffering a stroke and underwent surgery.
In June, journalist Bill Apter revealed Lawler was ‘ecstatic’ when Logan Paul mentioned him on an episode of Monday Night Raw and provided an update on his health.
He told Sportskeeda’s WrestleBinge: ‘Yeah, it was difficult for him to complete his sentences, but he’s much better than when I spoke to him around three weeks ago.’
