Ore Oduba has revealed his family’s predicament after getting caught up in the travel turmoil that has affected thousands of British vacationers who are currently stranded abroad.
The former Strictly Come Dancing celebrity flew to Greece with his spouse Portia and their two kids Roman, four, and Genie, one.
However, what was a perfect Summertime (Summer is Here SALE) escapade has turned into a nightmare for the family as their return flight to Gatwick was terminated due to the chaos in air travel.
Approximately 10% of departures and arrivals at UK airports encountered delays on Monday as a result of a malfunction that forced air traffic controllers to manually input flight plans. This caused delays for hundreds of thousands of travelers, and the disruption is anticipated to persist for several days.
Portia, the wife of Ore, elaborated on their ordeal in her Instagram stories and disclosed that their children had no diapers or fresh undergarments.
‘Presently ‘stranded’ in Greece without a return flight,’ she wrote alongside pictures of herself appearing exasperated.

But it’s okay. They’ve offered us a voucher for our next flight. Maybe we can fly home in a magical carpet style. 👍🏻 Amazing customer service @easyjet.’
She humorously remarked, ‘I had better improve my knowledge of the Greek language because at this rate, we will become citizens.’
Portia, who married Ore in 2015, provided more details in a video, stating: ‘The next available flight from our current location back to London Gatwick is not until Sunday, as far as I know, so we are attempting to find an alternate flight, possibly to another island and fly with a different airline that still has departures.’

The mother of two also shared how Roman and Genie were ‘uncooperative’ and started causing a commotion while she and Ore attempted to arrange another room at their hotel.
‘It’s all been rather stressful, as you can imagine – as it will be for many, many people this week. However, we do have an incredible travel representative who is doing her utmost to get us home!’ she stated.
‘Also, the kids have no clean clothes left, and I do not have any clean underwear… so that’s great. Sink washes all around.’

TV star Christine informed her followers, ‘No idea when we can get a flight home.’
However, she found the positive side of the unfortunate event and added, ‘I had jobs scheduled all week, a million things to do at home to prepare for “back to school,” but… we were supposed to stay longer; we have more memories to create, and time with my children is invaluable.’
Presenter Dawn expressed her frustration in Spain and asked, ‘Does anyone with knowledge know if there is any chance of landing at Gatwick today? Should I proceed through security or not? THAT IS THE QUESTION.
‘Being alone with the children, I definitely don’t want to be stuck there for the night. Obviously, no one here knows anything.’
‘Sorry for everyone traveling today. It’s such bull***t,’ she concluded.
