Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver

A Family Affair

Filming for the project took place in 2022 and delves into the complexities of love, sex, and identity through the experiences of a young woman, her mother, and her movie star boss.

After the success of The Mother (now one of Netflix’s most-watched films of all time in 2023), Jennifer Lopez returns for another feature film as part of her deal with Netflix. Filming for Atlas occurred throughout 2022, with some additional footage captured in 2023. Formerly titled “The Expansion Project,” this sci-fi action flick centers on Atlas, who fights for humanity in a future where an AI soldier believes eradicating mankind is the only means to end war.

Following a hiatus in securing a distributor, Netflix stepped in to collaborate with director Adam McKay after their previous partnership on Don’t Look Up. Production for Average Height, Average Build was initially scheduled to commence in 2023 but has been postponed due to labor strikes.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley (formerly Beverly Hills Cop 4)

Decades after Eddie Murphy first portrayed Axel Foley, the action-comedy series Beverly Hills Cop is revived by Netflix for its fourth entry (with potentially more installments). The movie, officially titled Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, chronicles Axel’s receipt of a distress call regarding his endangered daughter. Filming took place between mid-2022 and late 2022, and the film is set to hit Netflix in 2024.
Carry On

From Amblin Partners, this upcoming action thriller was filmed in Louisiana and Ohio during the latter months of 2022 and is currently in post-production. The movie centers around TSA agent Ethan Kopek, who becomes embroiled in a dangerous situation when a mysterious traveler blackmails him into letting a hazardous package slip through airport security onto a Christmas Day flight.
Code 8: Part II
Genre: Sci-fi

Code 8 originated as a crowdfunded short film that gained immense popularity on Netflix. Its success spurred the development of a sequel. The story follows a teenage girl’s quest for justice after her brother is killed by corrupt police officers. Production took place in late 2021 in Toronto, Canada.
Damsel

Originally scheduled for an October 13th, 2023 release, this sci-fi/fantasy film portrays the tale of a dutiful damsel coerced into marrying a handsome prince, only to discover that the royal family has marked her as a sacrificial offering. Trapped in a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her intellect and determination to survive.

Directed by McG, this new family comedy revolves around the Brenner family, who awaken to find that they have switched bodies with another family on the opposite side of the world. Filming for the project took place throughout 2022 and extended into 2023.
God Country
Genre: Fantasy, Comic Book

The acclaimed showrunner behind the Netflix sensation Sweet Tooth takes on God Country, an adaptation of the Image Comics series, for the streaming giant. The comic, created by Geoff Shaw, Donny Cates, and Jason Wordie, centers on an elderly widower who is cured of dementia after discovering an enchanted sword amidst a tornado’s fury. However, his newfound abilities force him to confront otherworldly creatures summoned by the sword. Filming is expected to commence in 2023.
Gundam

Based on the immensely popular Japanese mech franchise, this live-action movie serves as a collaboration between Legendary Entertainment and Sunrise Interactive. Production was initially set to begin in mid-2023 but has been rescheduled for early 2024.
Havoc

In Your Dreams
