Chris Rock, 58, and his eldest daughter Lola Simone, 21, enjoyed a rare outing in New York City, NY on Monday. The comedian and the stunning young woman were captured strolling around the SoHo neighborhood of the Big Apple, not too far from his residence, and appeared to be having a wonderful time as they grinned and conversed. They both sported relaxed attire, with him donning a black short-sleeved shirt and trousers, and her wearing a black top and gray pants.
Chris also wore black-framed spectacles and black sneakers. Lola carried a purse that matched her ensemble and added black boots to complete her look. At one point, they both seemed to chuckle during their conversation and disregarded the presence of nearby cameras.

In addition to Lola, Chris is the father of his 19-year-old daughter Zahra Savannah, who is currently attending the University of Southern California. He welcomed both Lola and Zahra during his 18-year marriage to ex-wife Malaak Compton-Rock. The former couple ended their relationship in 2014.
When Chris isn’t making headlines for his family outings, he’s gaining attention for his standup comedy. Earlier this year, he tackled the widely-publicized incident of Will Smith’s slap during a Netflix comedy special, where he also threw shade at the actor’s “entanglement” controversy with his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. “Will Smith demonstrates selective outrage,” he remarked during his special titled Chris Rock: Selective Outrage. “Everyone who truly knows me knows that I had no involvement in that mess. I didn’t have any ‘entanglements.'”

Chris was referring to Jada’s admission of having an “entanglement” with singer August Alsina years ago when she and Will were on a break. In July 2020, she explained that they were able to mend their relationship and reach “a new place of unconditional love.”
“We’ve all experienced infidelity. Everyone in this industry has been cheated on,” he continued before mentioning a prior televised interview that both Will and Jada had about the difficulties in their marriage. “None of us have ever been interviewed by the person who cheated on us on television. None of us. … Why the heck would you do that? She hurt him way more than he hurt me, okay?”
