
The occurrence transpired at Phoenix Place, Warrington (Picture: Google Maps)An adolescent, 17, has been taken into custody on suspicion of homicide after a woman died outside her residence in Cheshire this morning.
The woman, 48, was discovered ‘severely assaulted’ by law enforcement at her home in Warrington, a town approximately 16 miles southwest of Manchester.
At approximately 9:40am, emergency services arrived at the property along Phoenix Place, in response to reports of a ‘domestic incident’, as stated by Cheshire Police.
She was declared deceased on-site.
County police detained the teenager on the suspicion of murder, and he remains in detention for questioning by investigators.
The woman’s relatives are receiving support from the authorities.

Detective Superintendent Jon Betts of Warrington Local Policing Unit emphasized that this was an ‘isolated event’ and stated that there is ‘no danger to the broader community’.
‘A 17-year-old adolescent has been apprehended and is currently being held in police custody,’ Betts stated.
‘There is presently an augmented police presence in the vicinity, and I urge anyone with concerns to approach an officer.
‘As part of our ongoing investigations, I would appreciate hearing from anyone who was present in the Phoenix Place area between 9.30am and 9.45am and believes they may have observed the incident.
‘The same applies to individuals with any video or dashcam footage.’
