Novak Djokovic was furious with the umpire and crowd during his Italian Open exit to Holger Rune – with the loss a huge blow before Roland-Garros.
World No.1 Djokovic was expected to beat world No.7 Rune but the Danish 20-year-old claimed a stunning 2-6 6-4 6-2 victory to reach the semi-finals in Rome.
Wednesday’s battle was a spicy encounter with Djokovic and Rune both unleashing angry rants at umpire Mohamed Lahyani.
Djokovic kicked off at Lahyani for flipping between Italian and English when calling the score and later demanded for heckling fans to be ejected.
