Hogwarts Legacy has a surprise in store for players this week, to support the last gen launch on PS4 and Xbox One.
Players on last gen consoles have been waiting for almost two months to get their hands on Hogwarts Legacy for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. However, considering that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor completely Ski Goggles (On Sale Here)pped those consoles, it’s best to count your blessings.
Hogwarts Legacy made its initial debut on February 7 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S and is scheduled to be released on Friday, May 5 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 – the Nintendo Switch version is launching even later this year, in late July.
Leading up to Hogwarts Legacy’s release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this week, not only has developer Avalanche announced a special livestream but also the return of certain Twitch drops.
The official Twitter account of the game confirmed that Legacy Live will return on May 5 at 5pm BST on Twitch, giving you the chance to unlock some in-game freebies.
Specifically, you’ll be able to unlock Merlin’s Cloak, which was also part of the Twitch drops promotion when the game first launched in February.
It’s a flashy purple robe with glowing stars embroidered on it, which you can equip in-game to get some much-needed boosts to your stats.
It wasn’t clarified whether the promotion can be claimed by watching any Hogwarts Legacy stream or if it’s exclusive to Legacy Live.
However, judging from previous Twitch drops, it’s possible that you’ll be able to get Merlin’s Cloak by watching any stream that qualifies.
In either case, make sure that your Twitch profile is linked to your Warner Bros. Games account; otherwise, all of your efforts will be in vain.
Despite most fans being excited to finally get access to the game, some were concerned about the absence of any gameplay footage from last gen consoles.
With a sizable open world and detailed graphics on current gen consoles, concerns are mounting about whether Hogwarts Legacy will perform well on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Unfortunately, Avalanche and Warner Bros. have been tight-lipped, so you will probably have to wait until release day to find out.
