Emmerdale lines up another intense episode tonight (April 21), with Nicky (Lewis Cope) set to make a big promise to Caleb Milligan (William Ash), with the two master manipulators taking their plot to the next level.
Nicky, as viewers know, is in cahoots with Caleb, who is on a mission to destroy Kim Tate (Claire King) and take Home Farm from her, with a huge twist earlier this month confirming that the suave businessman is a long-lost son of her ex Frank.
Kim has no idea that she’s being tricked by Caleb, who is not only out to get his hands on her side of the business but also Gabby Thomas’ (Rosie Bentham), using Nicky – who is his son – in a bid to do so.
Nicky, who proposed to Gabby earlier this month, has been keen to get a ring on her finger as soon as possible, but Gabby questioned his motives this week, revealing that she wants all the bells and whistles when it comes to organising their wedding.
With little options left, Nicky has been forced to go along with her demands, with Caleb encouraging him to keep up the act, determined to get his hands on all-things Tate-related, believing it to be his birthright.
Nicky makes Caleb a promise during tonight’s visit to the Dales, but just what is it that he’s got on his mind? What’s more, how will Caleb respond?
Elsewhere in the village, Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) is concerned about Marshall Hamston (Max Fletcher), knowing something is not quite right with him.
The HOP employee is quick to suss him out, but will she get to the bottom of what’s on the teen’s mind?
Marshall, as viewers will recall, moved in with Laurel and Arthur (Alfie Clarke) last month, after homophobe dad Colin (Mark Noble) disowned him when he came out as gay.
Colin tried to manipulate him into coming back, claiming he couldn’t possibly know he’s gay without having kissed a girl, which resulted in the teen attempting to go on a date with Cathy Hope (Gabrielle Dowling), before ultimately backtracking, thanking Arthur for being there for him as a mate.
Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson), meanwhile, will offer Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop) some advice tonight, while the aftermath of Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Mackenzie Boyd’s (Lawrence Robb) wedding will take place, and viewers will find out what’s next for Chloe Harris (Jessie Eland) after she welcomed a baby boy.
Emmerdale continues Friday April 20 at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
