Noel Gallagher has responded to his brother Liam Gallagher’s claims that an Oasis reunion is happening.
Over the weekend, Liam, 50, was asked by a fan about the chances of the iconic Britpop group reuniting and replied: ‘It’s happening.’
Noel, 55, shared his thoughts on his sibling’s comments on Tuesday, suggesting that all Liam has to do to get the ball rolling is pick up the phone.
When asked about an Oasis reunion during an interview with France Inter this week, Noel referenced the media coverage of Liam’s tweet, saying: ‘There’s something in the papers back in England today.’
The musician went on: ‘He should get his people to call my people; they know who they are, they know where we are. Stop talking on the f*****g internet, and let’s see what you’ve got to say.’
Asked whether he was confirming all it would take to get Oasis back on the road was a phone call from Liam, Noel added: ‘You would think, right? You would think. He’s got my number, he’s got my manager’s number, call us. But you know what? He won’t call.’
Asked why Liam wouldn’t give him a call, Noel replied: ‘But why indeed. Why indeed.’
Liam has since taken to Twitter to discuss his older brother’s interview, but it seems as though he has no intention of giving Noel a bell.
When one fan said: ‘C’mon then LG, Noel has challenged “your people” to pick up the phone… is your bag still packed?’ the star replied: ‘He ain’t got no people.’
Another asked if Liam planned on calling his brother’s team, to which he bluntly replied: ‘F**k his cowboys.’ We’ll take that as a no, then.
