Eamonn Holmes has paid tribute to his late mum with an adorable video to mark his first Mother’s Day without her.
The former This Morning star revealed in November last year that his mother had died, saying: ‘We love d and will miss her so much.’
Eamonn lost his father Leonard in 1991, and said his mother had been ‘reunited’ with him in his post, which he called the family’s ‘only consolation’.
He’s now paid tribute to his mum ahead of marking the occasion tomorrow.
The sweet video sees Eamonn’s mum reading out an interview, in which the GB News presenter spoke about how much he love d her.
He captioned the clip: ‘This is my first year without a Mother on Mother’s Day.
‘But I did an interview last year where I said how much I love d her ❤️. How glad I am I did.
‘As you can see she seemed pretty happy.’ ‘
He signed off the emotional post by writing: ‘If you still have a Mum . Give her a hug from me and don’t forget her tomorrow.’
Fans and friends shared their support in the comments, with fellow presenter Ellie Costello writing: ‘Lots of love eamonn,’ as Vanessa Feltz penned: ‘Sending you so much love . This is my 18th year without my beautiful mother. She was just 57 when she passed away. I miss her every day. Huge hugs my darling friend’.
Eamonn was unable to attend his mother’s funeral in person after recovering from major back surgery, but spoke virtually to the congregation, saying: ‘My name is Eamonn and I am the second son – my other brothers being Emmett, Connor and Leonard Holmes – of Josie.
‘They are all here today and I love and respect them so much for what they constantly do for mum.’
‘Unfortunately, I can only be here virtually but I am watching it on the television,’ he added, according to The Belfast Telegraph.
