Love Island fans predict Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins win is inevitable after relationship announcement
Tonight was the night – we got our first Love Island 2023 official relationship.
That’s right – after Lana Jenkins told fellow original Islander Ron Hall that she was ‘falling’ for him, he responded in a pretty satisfying way.
In the closing scenes of this evening’s episode Ron, 25, asked Lana, also 25, to be his girlfriend… and fans reckon they could be heading towards a win after placing a label on their romance.
After what was a fairly uneventful episode, aside from the Casey O’Gorman, Claudia Fogarty and Rosie Seabrook’s love triangle trudging on, Ron sealed the deal with the make-up artist and made her his first-ever girlfriend.
He said being in a couple was ‘not enough’ and neither was simply being exclusive, but he wanted to put the relationship label on their romance, which has been blossoming since day one in the villa.
She was chuffed with her new relationship status, as she beamed and said: ‘I came in here to find someone, I was genuinely out there looking for love and that’s what I found.’

The romantic then claimed that she’d ‘predicted’ she’d find her man on day one, before dubbing herself Mystic Meg.
‘First person I can call my missus,’ said a chuffed Ron to the camera.
Now Love Island fans think they could be a shoo-in to win the series – although some aren’t super keen on the idea.
One person joked: ‘It’s a wrap everybody, Lana and Ron are gonna win cause fiat 500 are gonna eat this up [sic] .’
‘I just KNOW this series is going to be a Liam and Millie and repeat and all the Fiat 500 and Facebook mums will be voting for Ron and Lana,’ said another, referencing former winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon.
The couple were the picture of perfection – after a lot of post-Casa Amor groveling from the latter, that is – and went on to win the 2021 season (and later break up).
Another miffed Twitter user wrote: ‘Is this episode really ending with Ron asking Lana to be his girlfriend? Worst episode in Love Island history omg.’
