The Free Movie of the Day we have for you today is the 2019 adventure film Legend of the Ghost Dagger, which was once (as you can see on the poster below) going by the title Benjamin Falck and the Ghost Dagger. Written and directed by Martin Sofiedal, Legend of the Ghost Dagger tells the following story: A failed treasure hunter tricks his girlfriend into going on a vacation to Mallorca, hoping to both fix the relationship and find the legendary Ghost Dagger, with deadly consequences.
The film stars Fredrik Skogsrud, Caroline Glomnes, Trond Fausa, Patrick Finzi, John Smith Kabashi, Hamid Karimi, Henrik Plau, Carl Filip Amundsen Stav, and Cecilie Svendsen.
Sofiedal spent eight years racking up a lot of credits directing short films and television before making Legend of the Ghost Dagger his feature directorial debut. The Benjamin Falck title indicates that Sofiedal was hoping this movie would kick off an Indiana Jones-esque franchise, but so far that hasn’t panned out. No sequels have been made to Legend of the Ghost Dagger. Sofiedal has directed another feature, though: the sci-fi comedy Blasted, which was released through the Netflix streaming service in June.
