Reece James spotted in Chelsea training alongside new signing Mykhailo Mudryk
Reece James has returned to full training ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League trip to face Liverpool this weekend.
The England defender lasted less than an hour in December’s win against Bournemouth, when he suffered a hamstring strain.
That was James’ first appearance in two-and-a-half months, in what has been an injury-ravaged campaign for the wing-back.
Graham Potter confirmed last week that James was ‘back on the grass’ but he was able to participate in a full session with his team-mates on Wednesday morning.
James trained alonsgide new boy Mykhailo Mudryk, who is hoping to make his debut for the club on Sunday at Anfield.
The good news didn’t end there for Potter, with Ben Chilwell also able to take part in training following an injury lay-off.
Chelsea beat Palace on Sunday to restore some confidence to Potter’s under-performing side.
The Blues are level on points with Liverpool heading into Sunday’s game, having played a game more.
Potter’s side can ill-afford to drop more points if they’re to stand any chance of finishing in the top four.
Chelsea trail Manchester United in fourth by 10 points, having played a game more than the Red Devils.
