Princess Anne’s bull terrier ‘sank its teeth into another dog’ at family meet

A shoot at Sandringham Palace went awry after a bull terrier belonging to Princess Anne attacked a gamekeeper’s dog, reports say.
The alleged incident was said to have happened at last year’s Boxing Day shoot, described as a ‘huge family affair’.
An insider quoted by The Sun claimed the bull terrier ran straight across a field towards the other dog and bit its ear ‘in a frenzy’.
The newspaper said both dogs survived, but the alleged attack left other royals shocked and created an ‘extremely tense’ atmosphere for the rest of the day.
Several onlookers are said to have questioned what might have happened if it had gone after Charlotte, George, or one of the other children present.
Norfolk Police and the RSPCA both confirmed they had not received any reports about an incident, and Buckingham Palace declined to comment.
It would not be the first time the King’s sister has got in trouble over her dogs.
Anne became the first royal to be convicted of a non-speeding offence when one of her terriers bit two boys aged seven and 12 in Windsor Great Park in 2002.

She was fined £500 under the Dangerous Dogs Act, but the following year, housemaid Ruby Brooker was bitten by Dotty’s mum Florence.
The same dog later attacked one of the Queen’s corgis.
Pharos the corgi was left in such a state it had to be put down.
According to the Daily Mail, the reputation of Anne’s bull terriers led the Queen to ban them from Sandringham.
