He made this remark during the Bharatiya Janata Party national executive meeting held in Delhi on January 16 and 17, 2023.

PM Modi reportedly remarked how specific party members’ statements on some movies are continuously broadcasted on television and in the media. The prime minister advised the party members to refrain from making unnecessary statements, which may hinder the party’s growth. Prime Minister Modi made these statements in response to calls for a boycott of the film, Pathaan which stars Deepika Padukone, John Abraham and Shah Rukh Khan.
