Cain fears the worst as Kyle’s hearing dawns in Emmerdale spoiler video

There are worried faces in a new Emmerdale preview video as Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) sets off for Kyle (Huey Quinn)’s plea hearing, along with the solicitor (Harry Long) that Caleb (William Ash) found for them.

Previously told he wouldn’t be able to go to the hearing because he’s a witness, Cain (Jeff Hordley) can only wait back in the village as his son’s fate is decided. He’s worried that Kyle might ‘crack under the pressure of it all,’ he says.

‘He’s 11 years old. What if he buckles on the stand or says something stupid?’ he says, revealing that Kyle called Moira (Natalie J. Robb) earlier in a panic, worrying that he was going to throw up with nerves. It took Moira a while to calm him down.

Meanwhile Matty (Ash Palmisciano) has noticed that Moira isn’t there and Cain tells them she’s had to go to visit Nana Barton, who’s had a fall.

Cain is still clashing with the solicitor who he doesn’t trust because he doesn’t trust Caleb. But his true feelings appear as Amy’s about to get in the car.

‘Tell him I love him,’ he says to her – and Cain Dingle doesn’t drop the L word lightly so we know how deeply he’s feeling it.

‘Just bring him home,’ he adds softly as they drive away.
