Apex Legends leak reveals Season 16 name and revamped Wraith heirloom release date
A new leak has revealed the title of Apex Legends Season 16, as well as details about Wraith’s rumoured heirloom makeover.
A wave of leaks has hit Apex Legends, with most of them hinting at big changes coming to the game once Season 16 kicks off on February 14.
From skipping a new character, to Arenas shutting down in favour of a permanent Control mode, it feels like a new era will start in less than a month, if the leaks are true.
Now, another leak (we’ve lost count) has revealed Season 16’s title, as well as confirmed a previous rumour that hinted at Wraith’s heirloom kunai getting a recolour.
The new season, named Revelry, will start with an anniversary event on Valentine’s Day, with a romantic Date Night limited time mode also supposedly launching a week in advance.
Usually season titles have a hidden connection to the new legend’s lore, for example Season 15 is called Eclipse, which is a nod to Catalyst who has a witchy flair.
Despite some leaks claiming you won’t see a new face in Season 16, others insist that a character named Ballistic will join the rotation.
Since he’s rumoured to be quite raucous, maybe Revelry will be a suitable season title.
Prior to the anniversary event, the leaker also claimed you’ll see the launch of another collection event called Celestial Sunrise, which will include 24 items.
That’s when the rumoured ‘Hardcore’ more will be released as well, according to Insider Gaming.
Sadly, that’s not when Wraith’s revamped heirloom will be revealed, as that’s said to happen in a future collection event during March.
That collection event is titled Imperial Guard and it’s allegedly scheduled to kick off on March 7. As Wraith is the most popular character to play as, amongst Apex Legends players, it’s expected that the event will be a major hit.
This leak also corroborates a dataminer’s claim that changes in Wraith’s kunai’s texture is in the works.
As always, it’s good to take this information with a grain of salt, as leaks are not always trustworthy and developers can decide change things at the last moment.
